The Koh Young Zenith 3D AOI (2014 vintage) is a high-precision single-lane automated optical inspection system engineered for advanced SMT production environments requiring true 3D defect detection. This system utilizes advanced 5-way projection technology, combining 4-way grating projection with 1-way Digital Light Projection (DLP), enabling highly accurate 3D height, volume, and shape measurement. This multi-projection architecture minimizes shadowing and improves inspection reliability on complex PCB assemblies. Equipped with an 8 MP high-resolution camera, 8 independent light sources, and IR-RGB LED illumination, the Zenith ensures precise inspection of solder joints and component geometry. With 15 µm camera resolution and 15 µm system resolution, it is capable of detecting fine-pitch defects including: • Solder bridges • Insufficient or excess solder • Lifted leads • Coplanarity issues • Tombstoning • Polarity errors • Missing components This unit includes the 3D optical inspection module, precision PCB transport system, industrial PC running Windows 10 operating system, monitor, keypad, and standard signal cables, ensuring seamless integration into inline SMT production lines.
