The Koh Young Zenith 3D AOI (2021 vintage) is a next-generation automated optical inspection system engineered for high-reliability SMT production environments. Built on Koh Young’s true 3D measurement technology, the Zenith platform provides accurate height, volume, and shape analysis to eliminate false calls and improve defect detection accuracy. Unlike conventional 2D AOI systems, the Zenith uses 3D structured light projection to inspect solder joints and component geometry with micron-level precision. This allows accurate detection of lifted leads, insufficient solder, bridges, tombstoning, coplanarity issues, polarity errors, and missing components. This 2021 unit is configured with Koh Young’s 3D measurement optical system, high-resolution camera system, precision PCB transport system, operator console, and standard signal cables, ensuring seamless integration into inline SMT production lines. The Zenith 3D AOI is ideal for automotive electronics, telecom PCBs, industrial control boards, high-density assemblies, and other high-reliability applications where solder joint integrity is critical.
